I think there has been Revere cookware in my family since as far back as I can remember. I know for a fact that both my mother and her sister both used Revere cookware, and I recall my grandmother having a few Revere pots and pans in her kitchen as well. Even now I can picture my mom making a big batch of homemade chicken soup in her shiny stainless steel pot on the stove. It was a big stainless pot with a copper bottom, much like the pots that Revere still makes today. So of course I purchased some Revere cookware for my first kitchen. I’ve found some marvelous giraffe gifts! Before I came across the magic zoo, the best giraffe earrings, charms and so forth came from a recent trip to Africa. I was pleased to find an American artist who seems to have just the right touch to create an (essentially) giraffe figurine somewhere between whimsical and realistic. These are a little like tiny statues, only you get to wear them! I’ve always loved artisan jewelry, so finding my favorite wild animal done so beautifully was a thrill. (more…)
