Fully Functional Hanwei Bone Handled Swept Hilt Rapier
Check out this really cool rapier that was designed by Paul Chen (Hanwei’s sword producer) to look like the 17th Century rapiers of Europe. Like its original counterparts, the Hanwei Bone Handled Swept Hilt Rapier was designed to exude in elegance that reflected the cultural significance of rapiers during that period.
Rapiers swords were designed with elegance and swiftness because they were considered to be part of any man’s formal education in the European society. It was even used as a formal resort to solving gentlemanly disagreements. Unlike other types of blades that were dependent on force and balance, rapiers were meant for agility and sharpness.
The Bone Handled Swept Hilt Rapier was designed as an improvement to past designs, making it as light as 2 lbs but balanced as well. The set comes with an equally elegant scabbard and an interchangeable “practical” blade which the owner can swap the real, fully functional blade with for sparring purposes. As such, this product is a must have for those who want to train themselves in sparring with both the actual and alternative rapier blades.
