If your anniversary is fastly approaching and you’re looking for the perfect gift for your spouse, make her some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Chocolate strawberries are not only luscious and healthy but inexpensive as well. You can make them decorated with white chocolate. If your celebrating your anniversary, on a budget, then this is especially for you.

Start with strong fresh strawberries. Try to search for strawberries that are on sale. You should be able to find some at a very low price, maybe even as low as $3 per pound. After you purchase the strawberries, wash them really well and make sure they are dried appropriately. Do not take the green leaf off each strawberry. We will use those as decorations.

Find a small crock pot that you can melt the chocolate in. Melt the chocolate. Grab a pan and place a long sheet of wax paper on it. After the chocolate has finished melting, dip each strawberry in the chocolate, leaving about half of the strawberry showing. This makes a beautiful palate of strawberries. After dipping each strawberry, carefully place each one on top of the sheet of wax paper. Then place the pan into the refrigerator, to harden the chocolate. Whalah! Now you have made the greatest anniversary gifts ever; chocolate covered strawberries!
