Spring is Coming – Celebrate with this Amur Maackie Bonsai Tree

It’s been a long tough winter and I can hardly wait to get back outside and feel the sun on my face, which is why my thoughts are already turning to the bonsai trees that I want to add to my collection this summer. One of them is the wonderful  Amur Maackia Bonsai Tree, featuring a really nice growth of above ground roots. This tree is native to Russia so when fall arrives and it’s time to tuck everything in for the winter, this tree will be easy to prepare.

Outdoor bonsai are my favorites, I can’t make any excuses for that and even though their more delicate Chinese counterparts are favored by a lot of people I love being able to watch the seasonal changes in the trees. Best of all watching the leaves come back in each spring gives any real gardener one of their biggest treats of the year. Another great thing about outdoor bonsai trees is that they can ship all year – as long as you know that you don’t expect an outdoor deciduous bonsai to have any leaves if it shows up in February.
